Brett Bowden is an Associate Professor of History and Political Thought. He holds appointments at the University of Western Sydney, The Australian National University, Canberra, and at the University of New South Wales at the Australian Defence Force Academy, Canberra. He has held visiting positions in the Centre for the Study of Democracy at the University of Westminster in London, and in the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research at Bielefeld University in Germany. He received his PhD from The Australian National University and his undergraduate degrees from Flinders University of South Australia.
